Scientists have identified more fully the potential benefits of a probiotic supplement. The body typically contains more then 100,000 billion viable bacteria. They are not all bad. Suprema Dophilus is a multi-species probiotic designed to help the body restore its natural balance. Lactobacillus acidophilus and bulgaricus aid in digestion particularly with milk. Rhamnosus inhibits the growth of most harmful bacteria in the intestines. Two strains of bifidobacterium provide necessary assistance in the large intestine.

Suprema Dophilus also includes one prebiotic. Fructooligosaccarides (FOS) is a fiber that provides nutrition for bacteria in the small intestine helping to encourage growth.

Suprema Dophilus is packaged with an enteric coating. This coating allows the supplement to pass through the stomach into the small intestine unharmed. Without the special coating the highly acidic environment of the stomach would destroy most, if not all, of the beneficial bacteria.
