Vision Optimizer® by Jarrow Formulas may help improve visual function and the antioxidant levels in the eyes. It contains Vitamin B2, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Selenium, Bilberry extract, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Ginkgo Biloba extract, Grape Seed Extract, and Quercetin. Vitamin B2, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Selenium help certain antioxidants which protects the ocular lenses. Bilberry extract contains plant pigments known as anthocyanides which protect night vision. Lutein and Zeaxanthin, of which dark green, leafy vegetables are good sources, are antioxidants that are critical for the macula of the eyes. Ginkgo Biloba extract improves circulation and contains flavonoids called ginkgoflavonglycosides that scavenge free radicals. Grape Seed extract helps to maintain the strength of the capillaries and other blood vessels of the eyes. Quercetin is an antioxidant that helps to protect the lens architecture.

Lutein and Zeaxanthin are critical antioxidant carotenoids for the macula of the eyes. Dark green, leafy vegetables are good sources of lutein and zeaxanthin. Lutein and zeaxanthin reduce age-related increase in the lens’ density.*
Bilberry Extract (Vaccinium myrtillus) contains anthocyanosides, which are plant pigments known to protect night vision.*
