Hoodia-GL

Approximately 60% of Americans are overweight. Almost 25% of these are classified as obese. Excess weight can lead to a number of diseases including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, and respiratory disease. One of the most promising natural weight loss supplements to enter the market in recent years is Hoodia-GL. Hoodia gordonii is a succulent plant found in the hot deserts of southern Africa. For centuries the San Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert chewed on hoodia to limit their need for food and water and to give them energy on long journeys. Scientists have now isolated what they believe is the active ingredient in hoodia called P57. Laboratory tests on animals showed P57 dramatically reduced food intake. Clinical studies are currently underway but in one small preliminary study participants taking Hoodia decreased food intake by 1000 calories a day. A decrease of 1000 calories combined with moderate exercise could result in the loss of one pound of fat every three or four days.

In addition, Hoodia-GL includes Green Tea Extract. Green tea helps boost the metabolism and burn fat. Combined with hoodia it is a powerful weight loss supplement.

Since Hoodia may also suppress the body’s natural signal for needed hydration, be certain to drink plenty of fluids. Diabetics should not use hoodia.
