Mixing Vitamins

I am taking a multivitiman with Iron. Can I take the bee pollen with this?

First, I would need to know a little more about you before I decided that an iron containing multi-vitamin was right for you.  I usually do not recommend taking iron containing supplements unless you have been diagnosed with anemia or are a menstruating woman.

Iron has a high capacity for oxidation in the body and should not be taken unless it is needed.  Most men and non-menstruating women do not need iron unless a blood test shows that they are deficient.

In regards to your initial question, bee pollen is fine to take in conjunction with your iron containing multi.  In fact, bee pollen does have some anti-oxidant properties which will help offset any oxidation that can occur from taking iron.

Hope that helps.
