Cholest-Off by Nature Made promotes lower cholesterol levels which may reduce the risk of heart disease. Cholest-Off has an active ingredient made with plant sterols and stanols, both of which have been shown to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and total cholesterol by blocking cholesterol absorption. Because plant sterols are structurally similar to cholesterol, they compete with cholesterol for absorption into the small intestine.

Phytosterols are natural compounds found in most fruits and vegetables that are part of a healthy diet. Phytosterols are found naturally in vegetables and vegetable oils, seeds, nuts and some fruits. They are incorporated into foods like margarine, various spreads and mayonnaise. However, it may be near impossible to consume enough of these foods to equal the same amount of phytosterols that is in Cholest-Off.

Suggested Use: Take two caplets two times daily with a glass of water or other beverage before meals. For optimal effectiveness, take this product between 15 and 30 minutes before eating a meal.
